EQC On-Sold Repairs. Do You Qualify?
If So, We Can Help You Navigate The Process

If you have applied for the Government’s On-Sold Program last year, JAR Builders can help you through the process of getting your repairs taken care of.

We understand that this process can be daunting, and a time of confusion and overwhelm. The JAR Builders can guide you through the process, to simplify and make it much easier.

In order to be eligible for the EQC On-Sold Program you must meet the following criteria:

Talk to us if you need to clarify any of these requirements:

  1. You must be the current owner of the property.
  2. You must have applied for the program on or before 14 August 2020.
  3. You also must have purchased the property within a specified time period. So that also means:
    – You must have made your offer to purchase the property after the damage caused by the Canterbury Earthquake Sequence happened to the property.
    – You also must have made your offer to buy the property on or before the 15th of August 2019.
  4. In the event that your purchase offer was subject to a building condition, you would have had to satisfy or waive that condition on or before 15th of August 2019.
  5. The original owner or owners of the property must have already lodged at least one claim with EQC.
  6. Finally and importantly, before you made an offer to purchase the property, the claim, or claims, lodged by the original owner, or owners, to which an ex gratia payment relates, must have already been assessed by the EQC and then have been determined to be under cap.
